Adline Mewis Quadros Castelino, 22, was born in Kuwait City, Kuwait to Indian parents Alphonse Castellino and Meera Castellino. Both Alphonse and Meera are from Udyavara, Udupi, Karnataka, India.
Adline attended the Indian Central School in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Farwaniya Governorate, Kuwait. In 2013, she moved from Kuwait to Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
After graduating from St. Xavier’s High School in Mumbai, Adline entered Wilson College in Mumbai where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is fluent in Konkani, Hindi and English and she is 5’6″ tall.
When Adline underwent a beauty pageant training at the Cocoaberry Training Academy in Mumbai, she was crowned Miss Cocoaberry Diva 2019. On February 22, 2022, she represented Udupi at Miss Diva 2020 and competed against 19 other candidates at the Yash Raj Studio in Andheri West, Mumbai.
Aside from winning the Miss Universe India 2020 title, Adline also won the Miss Smasher-Badminton award. Also crowned was Miss Diva Supranational 2021 Aavriti Choudhary, 21, of Jabalpur.
On May 16, 2021, Adline represented India at Miss Universe 2020 and competed against 73 other candidates at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, USA. The Kuwait City native was third runner-up to Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza, 26, of Mexico.
Runner-up to Meza was Julia Gama, 27, of Brazil. Janick Maceta, 27, of Peru was second runner-up.
