Both Bernardo Sanchez, 43, and Jacob Farley, 22, are residents of Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama, United States. They are two of the nine Alabama men arrested in Limestone County, Alabama as part of an undercover child sex trafficking operation on February 13, 2024.

The purpose of the operation was to identify, investigate and arrest predators seeking children for sexual acts. It was conducted by the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office, the Covenant Rescue Group and the police department of Athens, Limestone County. 

Farley is originally from Anniston, Calhoun County, Alabama where he attended high school. Sanchez hails from Huatusco de Chicuellar, Veracruz, Mexico.

Sanchez and Farley were each charged with first-degree human trafficking, electronic solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a child for unlawful sex act. On February 15, 2024, an Aniah’s Law hearing will be held for the two Huntsville residents and six of the other suspects.

In November 2022, voters in Alabama passed Aniah’s Law. Named after Elijah Blanchard and Angela Harris‘s daughter Aniah Blanchard of Homewood, Jefferson County, Alabama, it allows judges to deny bond to people charged with violent crimes including human trafficking and murder.

Blanchard turned 19 on June 22, 2019. She was Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Walt Harris‘s stepdaughter.

On October 24, 2019, Aniah was reported missing to the police department of Auburn, Lee County, Alabama. She was allegedly abducted and murdered by Ibraheem Yazeed, then 29, of Montgomery, Montgomery County, Alabama.
