Dr. Ruey Kaster Bruce, 60, of Pickerington, Ohio, United States is an assistant professor at the Delaware, Ohio campus of Columbus State Community College. He teaches physical sciences.

In 1983, Bruce graduated from Harmon School of Seventh-Day Adventist in Rockley Vale, Scarborough, Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago. After earning his bachelor’s degrees in chemical engineering and food science and technology, he earned his master’s degree in analytical chemistry from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

As an inventor, Bruce holds five patents in the U.S. As a chemical engineer and a research scientist, he worked with several industries including ABITEC Corp and Battelle Memorial Institute.

On October 7, 2016, Bruce registered to vote in Fairfield County, Ohio. He is affiliated with the Democrat Party.

The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office set up sting operations at hotels in Lancaster, Fairfield County and Canal Winchester, Ohio on March 1, 2024 and March 8, 2024. It was part of an anti-prostitution bust.

Bruce and 16 others were arrested when they showed up at the hotels. Among the arrestees are his fellow Pickerington residents Derrick Mcintosh, 43, and Nathan Desalvo, 18.

Columbus State Community College has yet to release a statement about Bruce’s arrest. He, Mcintos and Desalvo were each charged with one count of engaging in prostitution.
