Mario Lopez, 51, will host the Miss Universe 2024 coronation ceremony at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico on November 16, 2024. It has yet to be confirmed whether he will do it solo or he will have a co-host.

A total of 130 countries and territories will be represented including first-time participants namely Belarus, Eritrea, Guinea, Iran, Macau, Moldova, North Macedonia, Somalia, the United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan. Emilio Estefan and Lele Pons will join the selection committee.

This is the 73rd edition of Miss Universe and the third time Lopez is hosting the coronation ceremony. Here are the beauty queens who won the title when he served as a host:

On May 28, 2007, Lopez and Miss Teen USA 1998 Vanessa Minnilo hosted the 56th edition of Miss Universe at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, Mexico. A total of 77 women competed for the title including Rosa Maria Ojeda of Mexico.

Riyo Mori of Japan won the Miss Universe 2007 title. Ojeda finished in the Top 10.

Runner-up to Mori was Natália Guimarães of Brazil. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Ly Jonaitis of Venezuela, Honey Lee of South Korea and Rachel Smith of the United States.

Miss Universe 1953 Christiane Martel and Miss Universe 1993 of Dayanara Torres served as judges. They were joined by Tony Romo, James Kyson Lee, Nina Garcia, Dave Navarro, Mauricio Islas, Lindsay Clubine, Marc Bouwer and Michielle Kwan.

On May 16, 2021, Lopez hosted the 69th edition of Miss Universe with Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, USA. The late Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst was a backstage correspondent while Miss Universe 2014 Paulina Vega and Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Tebow were expert analysts.

A total of 74 women competed for the Miss Universe 2020 title including Asya Branch of the U.S., who finished in the Top 21. It was Andrea Meza of Mexico who won the title.

Runner-up to Meza was Julia Gama of Brazil. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Janick Maceta of Peru, Adline Castelino of India and Kimberly Jimenez of the Dominican Republic.

Miss Universe 1997 Brook Lee and Miss Universe 2006 Zuleyka Rivera served as judges. They were joined by Sheryl Adkins-Green, Arden Cho, Christine Duffy, Keltie Knight, Deepica Mutyala and Tatyana Orozco.
