Chris Evans was born in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. His wife Alba Baptista was born in Lisbon, Portugal.

Lisbon is in the western portion of the Iberian Peninsula, the second largest European peninsula by area. Boston is around 69 miles away from Cape Cod, a peninsula in Massachusetts.

On September 9, 2023, Evans and Baptista got married on Cape Cod. It was an intimate ceremony attended by his “Avengers: Endgame” co-stars Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson.

Evans and Baptista are “exactly right for each other”, filmmaker Jimmy Warden recently told People. The filmmaker described the two as “such a sweet couple”.

“Borderline” and “Materialists”

Warden wrote and directed “Borderline“, a comedy thriller film that marked his directorial debut. It was produced by Brian Duffield, Hadeel Reda, Josey McNamara and Tom Ackerley.

Set in Los Angeles, California, USA, the film is about a pop star named Sofia played by Warden’s wife Samara Weaving. Duerson, an obsessive fan of the pop star, is played by Ray Nicholson.

Duerson delusively believes he and Sofia are getting married. He breaks into her home and manipulates their surroundings to create a wedding atmosphere.

The film was shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Also in the cast are Baptista as Penny, Catherine Lough Haggquist as Eleanor, Eric Dane as Bell, Jimmie Fails as Rhodes, Matthew Del Bel Belluz as Officer Carter, Patrick Cox as J.H., Terence Kelly as Lutzner and Yasmeen Kelders as Abby.

Magnet Releasing will release the film on March 14, 2025. On June 13, 2024, “Materialists” will be released by A24 in the U.S. and internationally by Sony Pictures Releasing International.

Written and directed by Celine Song, “Materialists” is set against the vibrant backdrop of New York City, New York, USA. It is about Dakota Johnson‘s character Lucy, whose matchmaking expertise is highly sought after by those willing to pay a premium for her services.

The other characters are John played by Evans, Eleanor played by Sietzka Rose, Jenn played by Rachel Zeiger-Haag, Mason played by Sawyer Spielberg, Randy played by Pedro Pascal, Ron played by Dan Domenech, a cater waiter played by Will Fitz, a matchmaker played by Swanmy Sampaio and a wedding guest played by Tom Johnson.
