Born in Gallatin, Tennessee, United States, Jordan Ponchez Mason is the middle of three siblings. His first cousin Zaccheus Marvin “Z.” Mason played professional basketball in France and the Philippines after playing college basketball at the University of Mississippi in University, Mississippi, USA and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Z. is 6’6″ tall. Jordan is 5’11” tall.

In 2004, Jordan started playing football. Aside from football, he also enjoys bowling.

In 2016, Jordan graduated from Gallatin High School. In December 2021, he graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, USA with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

From 2017 to 2021, Jordan was positioned as a running back at Georgia Tech. In 2022, he signed as an undrafted free agent with the National Football League team San Francisco 49ers, which is based in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, USA.

On May 24, 2024, Jordan turned 25. On December 7, 2024, he was placed on injured reserve.

On March 11, 2025, the San Francisco 49ers placed a tender to Jordan. On March 15, 2025, he was acquired from the team by the Minnesota Vikings, an NFL team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, Kevin O’Connell has been the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings since 2022. Jordan agreed to terms with the team on a two-year deal with $7 million fully guaranteed and a maximum value of $12 million, his agents Jason Katz and Michael Katz told Adam Schefter of ESPN.
