Rosangela Rizo, 27, is set to represent Cuba in an international beauty pageant again. Born in Havana, Cuba, she is fluent in English and Spanish.

In August 2020, Rizo graduated from Florida International University in University Park, Florida, United States with a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations. She also obtained a pre-law certification from the university.

Established in 1965, the FIU is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The university has three museums and 11 colleges.

On February 17, 2025, Jeanette Marie Nuñez assumed office as the interim president of the FIU. She was born in Miami, Florida to Cuban parents Victor C. Sanchez and Teresa Sanchez.

On April 5, 2025, Rizo was officially appointed Miss International Cuba 2025. On November 27, 2025, she will represent Cuba in the 63rd edition of Miss International.

Rizo will compete against more than 70 other Miss International 2025 candidates in Tokyo, Japan. Among her fellow candidates are Daiana Pereyra, 26, of Argentina, Catalina Duque, 25, of Colombia, Eunice Rivadeneira, 25, of Ecuador, Irma Handal, 21, of Honduras, Veronica Iglesias, 26, of Nicaragua and Alessandra Guillen, 27, of Venezuela.

This is not the first time Rizo is competing in a beauty pageant. On September 26, 2024, she represented Region Occidente at Miss Universe Cuba 2024 in Miami and competed against 23 other candidates including Marianela Ancheta, who won the title.

Runner-up to Ancheta was Alina Robert. Rizo was unplaced.

On November 4, 2024, Rizo was officially appointed Miss Intercontinental Cuba 2024. On December 6, 2024, she represented Cuba at Miss Intercontinental 2024 at the Tal Avenue in Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt and competed against 58 other candidates including Maria Cepero of Puerto Rico, who won the title.

Runner-up to Cepero was Georgette Musrie Efesia of Venezuela. Rizo finished in the Top 22.
