Led by the U.S. Marshals, the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) recently arrested Jaylin Tyler, 20, Anthony Ortiz, 28, and Quinterious Parker, 23, in Ohio, USA. The task force was created by Peter J. Elliott in 2003.

“Each and every day, members of our task force pursue wanted, dangerous fugitives,” Elliott stated. “This week, in three consecutive days and in three different cities in northern Ohio, our task force was investigating and arresting fugitives wanted for violent offenses.”

On September 28, 2024, a deceased body was found inside a burnt-out vehicle in the 800 block of E. 134th Street by officers with the Cleveland Division of Police. Ortiz was identified as being involved in the incident and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On January 6, 2025, Derrick Rogers, 18, was fatally shot at Boulder Creek Apartments in Toledo, Ohio. The Toledo Police Department identified Tyler as being involved in the incident and issued a warrant for his arrest.

On April 12, 2025, Frenicka Craig, 28, was fatally shot at Sage Park in Mobile, Alabama, USA. Five individuals have since been arrested in connection with the incident.

On May 6, 2025, members of the NOVFTF in Toledo arrested Tyler at a residence in the city. On May 7, 2025, members of the task force in Cleveland arrested Ortiz at a residence in Maple Heights, Ohio.

On May 8, 2025, the task force arrested Parker at a hotel in Milan, Ohio. He is accused of being involved in the fatal shooting of Craig in Mobile.

Both Tyler and Ortiz were charged with aggravated murder. Parker was charged with murder.
