At least two of the candidates in the ninth edition of Mister Supranational are of Filipino descent. They are Christopher Hayden Cox, 32, of San Antonio, Texas, United States and Kenneth Vincent Cabungcal, 25, of Dumaguete, Negros Oriental, Philippines.

Christopher Cox

Born in Houston, Texas, Cox is a registered nurse who advocates for better healthcare access in underserved communities. His mother Shirley Laureta Retutal McMahon is Filipino while his father Stephen Luther McMahon is American.

Shirley is James Retutal and Edwen Retutal‘s sister. Their father Felix Benito Retutal served in the U.S. Army during World War II and their mother Lolita Laureta Retutal was born in Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines.

Since Cox was a teenager, he has been a fan of the pageantry of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual, queer, intersex and allies (LGBTQIA) community. As a certified clinical research professional, he specializes in chemotherapy, immunotherapy and rare genetic diseases. 

While employed as a clinical research nurse at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, Cox won Mr. Gay Space City USofA at Large 2023, which was his first ever beauty pageant. He then became Mr. Gay Texas USofA at Large 2023 first runner-up, Mr. Gay USofA at Large 2023 third runner-up and Mr. Gay Houston USofA at Large 2024.

Mister Supranational 2025

On May 7, 2025, Cox represented Texas at Miss Supranational USA 2025 and competed against nine other candidates at La Scala de Miami in Miami, Florida, USA. He won the title.

On June 28, 2025, Cox will represent the U.S. at Mister Supranational 2025 in Nowy Sacz, Malopolska, Poland and compete against 39 other candidates including Cabungcal, who will represent the Philippines.
