As the Miss Beauty of the Netherlands 2025 winner, Sanne-Esmee Walstra will represent the Netherlands in the 25th edition of Miss Earth. She is a model with a bachelor’s degree in international hospitality studies.

This is not the first time Walstra is representing the Netherlands in an international beauty pageant. She was her home country’s representative in the inaugural edition of Spectacular Teen International.

Walstra is from the village of Sint Jacobiparochie in the municipality of Waadhoeke in Friesland, one of the 12 provinces of the Netherlands. The village was founded in 1505 and the municipality was established on January 1, 2018.

Including Waadhoeke, Friesland has 18 municipalities. The province is known for its speed skaters.

On November 27, 2021, Walstra represented the Netherlands at Spectacular Teen International 2021 in Arandas, Jalisco, Mexico. She competed against 10 other candidates including Ashly Olvera of Mexico, who was the first runner-up.

Juliette Villalva of Argentina was the second runner-up. The other candidates were Keylynne Collado of the Dominican Republic, Domenika Álvarez of Ecuador, Paola Delgado of Paraguay, Brisza Nuñez of Peru, Elizabeth Orrante of Riviera Maya, Diana Santana of Spain, Cynthia Murillo of the United States and Luissa Gallegos, who represented the Latino community in the U.S.

On April 6, 2025, Walstra was crowned Miss Beauty of Friesland 2025. On July 4, 2025, she represented Friesland at Miss Beauty of the Netherlands 2025 at the Studio 21 Hilversum in Hilversum, North Holland, Netherlands and won the title. 

Walstra competed against 11 other candidates including Isabel Cramer of Noord-Holland, who was the first runner-up. Anna van Westbroek of Zuid Holland, Stacey Terstegen of Utrecht and Evy Gijsbers van Wijk of Gelderland were the second, third and fourth runners-up, respectively.

Representing Netherlands, Walstra will compete for the Miss Earth 2025 crown. She will face more than 70 other candidates including Florencia Hernández, 21, of Argentina, Génesis Vera, 24, of Mexico and Haley Grace Poe, 22, of the United States.
