Ecuador will be represented at Miss Grand International 2025 by Samantha Quenedit Sánchez. This marks the second time she is representing the country in an international beauty pageant.
Hailing from Quito, Ecuador, Quenedit is a singer and a dancer who graduated from the Universidad Internacional del Ecuador (UIDE) in Quito. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social communication and a master’s degree in dance and teaches dance at the Proarte Estudio de Danza in Quito.
Teen Universe 2017
When Quenedit was a teenager, she and Sheynnis Palacios competed in the same beauty pageant. Representing Nicaragua, the latter finished in the Top 40 at Miss World 2021 in Puerto Rico on March 16, 2022 and won Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador on November 18, 2023.
On May 29, 2016, Quenedit was crowned Teen Universe Ecuador 2016 at Reinas Internacionales del Ecuador 2016. On April 25, 2017, she represented Ecuador at Teen Universe 2017, competed against 25 other candidates at the Teatro Nacional Rubén Darío in Managua, Nicaragua and finished in the Top 16.
The title was won by Srishti Kaur of India while Samantha Pierre of Canada and Ary Trava of Mexico were the respective first and second runners-up. Palacios finished in the Top 6.
Miss Grand International 2025
On May 18, 2025, Quenedit turned 25. Representing Quito, she was crowned Miss Grand Ecuador 2025 when she competed against 18 other candidates in the preliminary competition of Concurso Nacional de Belleza Ecuador 2025 at the Centro de Convenciones Mall del Rio in Cuenca, Azuay, Ecuador on July 18, 2025.
Miss Universe Ecuador 2024 Mara Topic Verduga hosted the show with Edisson Guerrero. The remaining candidates will compete for the Miss Universe Ecuador 2025 title in Guayaquil, Ecuador on July 26, 2025.
Representing Ecuador, Quenedit will compete against more than 70 other candidates in the 13th edition of Miss Grand International at the MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand on October 18, 2025. Among her fellow candidates are Alexandra Rocha, 28, of Bolivia, Kaliana Diniz, 25, of Brazil, Daylin Rodríguez, 19, of Cuba, Madelyn Mejía, 28, of the Dominican Republic, Isamar Herrera, 31, of Panama, Cecilia Romero, 21, of Paraguay, Silvia Oliveira, 25, of Portugal and Sarahí Figueroa Colón, 27, of Puerto Rico.
